CONCEPT

ANA strives to design engaging places for the whole community. Our focus is on creating an interconnected network of streets and development blocks that reflect our core belief in the connection between land use, transportation planning and design. By designing street typologies, building typologies and land uses simultaneously, we create a more cohesive and sustainable urban fabric.

PROJECTS OF INTEREST

Generally on a larger scale and often encompassing visioning, concept design and redevelopment, these projects showcase the way that we approach our work.

REDEVELOPMENT

ANA uses its community visioning process and urban design skills to develop consensus based redevelopment plans. ANAs redevelopment plans use a form-based code to visually communicate the plan through the use of three dimensional models. These models demonstrate the interdependence of each component to the function of the site as a whole.

VISION

Public involvement is the core of the visioning process, because no one knows a place as well as those who live and work there. ANAs unique public participation process is a three step system, including a policy questionnaire, the Visual Preference Survey(R) (including photo-simulations), and a hands-on translation workshop that fosters a community based vision for the future.
